the illustrations i have been working on for the illustration project set by the uni. about mechanical toys. going to use these images and a few others that i havent finished yet to create posters a catalogue cover and invitation. each of these illustrations takes me about a day to produce as so much work goes into them especially when it comes to stitching into the paper.
these are a few of my favourite things! i have a very sweet tooth!! using line drawings and then scanning in and adding colour and changing size on photoshop.

My homemade valentine card as im too tight to buy one ha! a bit shoddy but oh well only gonna go in bin after!
an experiment with type scanning bits in and adding to a photo. trying to get across my personality/interests with different images that also reflect my style.
What ive been doing tonight! Tracing photos from magazines then using thick black lines to highlight main parts to create face. colouring it in with teared paper. then drawing swirls to add for the background and scanning both in then using photoshop to bring them together. thinking about self promotion for this project. going to make a matchbox and fill it with interesting things and my own designs and thinking that cigarette cards would be interesting for size and how people collect them. need to add my signature to all of my work i'm going to add to matchbox.
one of my first attempts at hand rendered type really enjoyed it ...relaxed me just tracing! just used a fineliner and a bit of grey card think it looks quite effective.
