My degree show stand

Heres my degree show stand, I thought I wouldn't have much to put on my table at first but then managed to fill it! Quite happy with how it all my imagery tied together.

Me and Sooz have been making jewellery...(instead of doing uni work)... and then selling it at event around notts. We did really well and got a lot of interest when we stood at Bangers and Fash with our stuff. We're hoping that we can get in a few shops around nottingham with our wares! But trying to perfect our production of our product and also come up with some more designs.

Thought i'd best get updating my blog know I have a little bit of time on my hands!

These are the presentation boards for my hallmark project...

Using my illustrations to create christmas themed cards...

3D cards that slot together for an ornament effect to sit on your mantle piece...

And working on pattern repeats for wrapping paper designs using individual illustrations to build up the pattern. Also making 3D items such as gift bags with my illustration of a christmas pudding enlarged onto each side of the bag.

I Graduated!

21st July 2010....I graduated!! A very nice day wish I could do it all again. :)

My spreads in the book i've illustrated for a 5 short stories by the brothers grimm...stitching each charscter and object individually then layering them up in photoshop...also experimenting with painting to add another texture to my work.

A competition brief for the orange tree pub chain to design menu covers, i've got down to the final two so fingers crossed!!!

starting third year...

My first project for third year was to design a calender about air travel...i chose a simple idea by just illustrating popular cities with my paper and stitching style. i was really pleased with how tit turned out and this has now made me more confident with my work. Also during the project i bought myself a sewing machine to speed me up with the stitching but this has also lead to my style developing and becoming less "stiff!"
